Dr Tom Booth from the Natural History Museum was part of the team responsible for the DNA testing of the Cheddar Man, and in this talk discusses the pioneering work on Britain’s oldest known skeleton, and more widely about the significance of modern DNA testing of ancient bones – work that is providing dramatic results and leading us to think afresh about our ancestors.
